Sneak Peek: Monica & Jeremy~ Love is in the Air

My bestie, Kimmi, gave me a wonderful opportunity that I just could not pass up. She asked if I was interested in photographing her co-worker/friend’s wedding. I was absolutely thrilled but a bit nervous as well. I mean, I’ve never photographed a wedding before and to be responsible for capturing a couple’s nuptials, is quite a huge feat. My hubby (2nd shooter) and I drove down to SoCal for the big event. Surprisingly, the drive wasn’t too bad… unless it’s because I was drowning in the flirtatious play of Fifty Shades of Darker… hehe… but nonetheless, the drive was smooth and Mia was a trooper!! We had a great time hanging with Reagan’s Aunt who lives in Irvine—we ate non-stop! Hehe We finally met Monica and Jeremy on their big day. As with anyone’s big day, it could be a bit chaotic before the ceremony (time constraints and of course, the puppy chewing the strap off the shoe of the little flower girl) but not to worry, Jeremy resolved that problem in no time! Monica is such a funny and vibrant gal, no one could resist her… ahem… Jeremy. Hehe… these two exchanged vows in front of friends and family and you could definitely feel the love in the air. The intimate affair resonated with Monica & Jeremy’s love. What’s even more beautiful (from what I experienced and by looking through all the pictures) is that their love infected all their guests. Everyone had a blast and felt the love. Congratulations to Monica & Jeremy! I hope I was able to capture your big day to your expectations. Thank you for giving me the opportunity and entrusting me to capture one of the most important days of your lives.

My Crazy but Sweet Little Lovebug & Me!

When I drove home from work one day, I noticed the super tall weeds growing in the undeveloped areas of my neighborhood. Instantly, I wanted a picture with my little girl standing in the field of weeds. Before heading to iFest, we swung by the field to snap some photos. When we got there, it was just a small area that had super tall weeds. So I my "phohusbander" snap some photos at an angle to disguise the rest of the neighborhood. They turned out great!! Nice job babe! ;)
Afterwards, we got our cultural on at iFest. It was super neat to see and learn about all the different type of cultures within our community. There were some colorful lawn chairs there that I couldn't resist get a shot of Mia sitting in them. :) I have to say that it is quite difficult to get this little girl to smile while snapping at the same time. By the time I looked back into the lens to snap her smiling, she turns her head!!!
On our way back to the car, Reagan was snapping away. Mia's smile is so contagious!!
Today, Mia is 11 months old. Happy 11th Month Birthday Lovebug! Mommy loves and adores you!!!

Family Time

It's always fun to hang out with family especially when you get to eat, mingle, reminisce, and tease one another. This past weekend, we hung out with Reagan's family and celebrated our nephews' birthdays. Judah (the one on the far right and the sweetest little boy on earth) is now 6 years old and his little brother Micah (far left and the spunky one) is about to turn 4 in a couple of days!! It's crazy how time flies by so fast! To add to this, Reagan's little cousin Jason- the tan one, just had a birthday too, so we were all in birthday celebration mode. :)

San Diego Trip

We haven't been to San Diego in YEARS!! We went down South in celebration of our friends' birthdays and had a blast! I didn't want to bring my Canon Mark II bc I knew I would be tossing my camera everywhere I took my Ti1 instead. We stayed at an ocean front beach house and had a blast hanging out on the beach, playing volleyball, BBQ, getting drunk, etc. I am so grateful to have great friends who are very understanding and helpful when it came to my little Mia Hana. Boy! Did she love the beach... and the sand! I wanted to take a quick picture of her in her bathing suit before bundling her up to protect her from the sun, hence, her in a bathing suit and bunny hat! LOL! Here is my little cutie pootie.
One of my good friend, Ertha, wanted to do a quick test run to see if her fiance, our good friend-Quang, would be natural in front of the camera or be a "Chandler" from the TV sitcom Friends. What do you think?? LOL!
I was quite tipsy when I took this picture. LOL! There was a lot of noise and people in the picture that I had to crop out and the quality of the picture is really low but I couldn't help it. This is one hot moment captured still in time :)
Can't wait to visit San Diego again!

Brooklin's 8 Month Photoshoot

I got another great opportunity to work with one of Mia's BFF, Brooklin Grace. Brooklin has grown so fast within the past 8 months and has brought everlasting joy to Amanda and Patrick that they wanted to capture one of her milestone. I had such a great time hanging out with Amanda and Brooklin at Old Sac. It was really nice catching up with Amanda and sharing our motherhood horror stories. LOL! Can't wait to hang out again!
