Birthday and Babies...

Birthdays are always a special occasion, for the most part—despite the fact that you’re a year older. But in baby time, it’s a cause for celebration. Today, we celebrated Cecile’s 1st Birthday. She was as happy as can be—surrounded by lots of presents, cake, and her little friend Shane. She even knows how to smile for the camera!!

"It's time for cake!" Surprisingly, she doesn’t like to eat cake… she's a "green baby," she loves her veggies. Well then, more cake for me! And believe me… it was nummy!


"Present Time!!" Her eyes widen as she saw all the neat presents she got!

This is little Shane... Poor guy is allergic to about almost everything! He's a little trooper with a great sense of humor! Shanie is going to be a heartbreaker one day! So watch out ladies!

On a side note: Our next book is called In Defense of Food: An Eater's Manifesto. We're going to commemorate the book by snapping pictures at the Denio's Farmer's Market in Roseville. I can't wait!
