Meet Kai.
I had the pleasure to capture one of life's special gift, meet Kai- short for Kaigen. My friend, Jamie, endured 21 hours of labor to welcome this cute little man (not sure how she did it) but boy was it worth it! He is just simply precious! Born on December 16, 2012, 6 lbs 14 oz, and 19 inches long, he is all bundles of cuteness. Introducing baby Kaigen Johan Kofoed!!
Zoey!
On our Vegas trip, I did a little mini shoot with my little niece Zoey while her parents ran the Rock'n Roll Half marathon. I promised her that we would go ice skating once we're done. Only later to find out that there was an age limit for the ice rink. How ridiculous is that?! Even with adult supervision, they still wouldn't allow it. I felt terrible. Zoey was a little disappointed but was so cool with it. Very understanding for a 4 year old wouldn't you say?? She's one very understanding, smart, and beautiful little girl. I can't believe she going to turn 5!!
Busy, Busy, Busy
Life for me, gets a little crazy starting around Halloween... that's because it's the start of the holiday whirlwind... with Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the New Year. But for this past year, it was more of a holiday hurricane. There were a lot changes in my life as well as my family's life. In mid October 2012, I've made a difficult decision to end my job after 7 years and start a new one with the UCD MIND Institute. With my new job, we also had to search for a daycare for Mia that fits our needs, wants, and schedules. Then the holidays rolled around, holiday parties, Christmas shopping, birthdays, and our spur of the moment trips to Disneyland and Vegas made our lives busy, busy, busy. It was even difficult to find time to spend with each other because there was always something that we had to do.
Now that the holidays are winding down... I wanted to update my blog and a little bit about my life and family. Mia is now 18.5 months old. She is getting smarter and smarter everyday. It amazes me and Reagan how much this little crazy girl knows. She's beginning to label things, she could identify most of her body parts, knows how to complete puzzles, likes to be chased and take baths, likes to sing songs, is a great helper at school, and even does pretend play. Just the other day, she got her stuffed hello kitty, grabbed one of her diapers, opened it up, and tried to put the diaper on. LOL! She cracks us up and we adore her to pieces!
Reagan and I try to make it a point to go on vacation at least once a year just to unwind, relax, and rejuvenate. With 2012 winding down and other financial reasons, we didn't get that opportunity... so at the very last minute we decided to do a couple getaways. We went to Disneyland and Vegas and Mia was such a good little girl!! She loved Disneyland and all the Vegas glitz and glamour!! These are just a few shots of Mia with her Godmother at Downtown Disney and our Disneyland Santa family picture. I have more Disneyland pictures but haven't gotten a chance to unload them from the card just yet.
We hoped everyone had a wonderful Christmas and Rockin' New Year!!

Sneak Peek: Monica & Jeremy~ Love is in the Air
My bestie, Kimmi, gave me a wonderful opportunity that I just could not pass up. She asked if I was interested in photographing her co-worker/friend’s wedding. I was absolutely thrilled but a bit nervous as well. I mean, I’ve never photographed a wedding before and to be responsible for capturing a couple’s nuptials, is quite a huge feat.
My hubby (2nd shooter) and I drove down to SoCal for the big event. Surprisingly, the drive wasn’t too bad… unless it’s because I was drowning in the flirtatious play of Fifty Shades of Darker… hehe… but nonetheless, the drive was smooth and Mia was a trooper!! We had a great time hanging with Reagan’s Aunt who lives in Irvine—we ate non-stop! Hehe
We finally met Monica and Jeremy on their big day. As with anyone’s big day, it could be a bit chaotic before the ceremony (time constraints and of course, the puppy chewing the strap off the shoe of the little flower girl) but not to worry, Jeremy resolved that problem in no time! Monica is such a funny and vibrant gal, no one could resist her… ahem… Jeremy. Hehe… these two exchanged vows in front of friends and family and you could definitely feel the love in the air. The intimate affair resonated with Monica & Jeremy’s love.
What’s even more beautiful (from what I experienced and by looking through all the pictures) is that their love infected all their guests. Everyone had a blast and felt the love. Congratulations to Monica & Jeremy! I hope I was able to capture your big day to your expectations. Thank you for giving me the opportunity and entrusting me to capture one of the most important days of your lives.
